We have just delivered our first orders to the Carrefour Group’s organic supermarkets – their recently acquired ex-Bio c’ Bon and SoBIO.

This milestone represents another step along our process of international expansion, on a quest to meet our goal of revolutionising the world of healthy snacking.

While we have always considered the French market to be particularly attractive on account of the opportunities it presents, given that the French are more inclined to purchase local produce and that the information provided has to be clear and transparent in order to break down barriers, this has also required an important effort of adaptation and understanding of the target consumer.

According to data provided by Agence Bio, just a month ago, on occasion of Biofach, the French organic food market segment has doubled in size over the last 5 years, with an increase in household consumption of 34% in 2020, and whose clear protagonists have been fruit and vegetables, and at a +15% growth, also Grocery products, more than 33% of which are imported from Europe or other countries.

More than 55% of organic purchases are made in supermarkets, followed by 29% in specialised shops, where we have had a presence for more than 3 years through a local partner.
